Bunbury Automatics built its reputation across the South West on one thing: sound engineering on transmissions. It is now part of P & D Autos, and the same work carries on in the same workshop.
Our experts in the workshop are capable of rebuilding and repairing all makes and models of automatic and manual gearboxes, including electronic gearbox control systems. Repair, reconditioning and fitting are all carried out on site, so your gearbox does not go on a truck to Perth and come back a fortnight later.

The workshop is led by Pasquale Catalano, better known to just about everyone in Bunbury as Paddy. He has been in the automotive industry since he was fifteen years of age, and Domenica runs the office, the accounts and most of the phone calls you will have with us.
That is the reason people keep coming back rather than shopping around. You get told the cost before the work happens. You get rung with an update rather than left wondering. And the car goes home clean.

On a recent trip to Bunbury, our car developed an electrical fault in the gearbox that left the car undrivable. We limped to P & D Autos to see if they could assist with the problem as we had another appointment to get to. They immediately stopped a technician doing what he was doing and assigned him to diagnose the issue. When the result showed it could not be easily solved they gave us a courtesy car to make our appointment, while they continued to pursue the problem. A couple of hours later they called and informed us the problem had been resolved. Without their invaluable knowledge, time and care, we would have been stranded and looking at the expense of having the car sent to Perth.
WOW! By far the BEST mechanic business I have come across! Booked in for an overdue service as have been travelling around Aus for 7 months. Friendly, family run business that went above and beyond, rang me with updates every step of the way, told me the cost so no hidden surprises, fixed my squeaky suspension and even gave my car a wash and vacuum! VERY impressed, thank you Paddy and Dominica!
Can not fault their customer service and care. Always rings to discuss issues and updates. Nothing is too much for them. They go above and beyond to make sure your happy and that the car is far greater than when it went in. They even wash your car. They are honest and reliable. Dominica the receptionist, is friendly, courteous and professional. Very nice dealing with her.
